This role offers an excellent opportunity to build broad financial reporting and analysis experience within a dynamic and growing organization.You will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account analysis, and audit support activities while partnering with experienced finance professionals to improve processes and strengthen financial controls. This position is ideal for an ambitious accounting professional looking to deepen their technical accounting expertise and accelerate their career development.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nPrepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.\nAnalyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights into key drivers of account activity and business performance.\nPrepare working papers and supporting schedules for financial statements, regulatory filings, and management reporting packages.\nSupport the preparation and review of sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.\nAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial information.\nSupport internal, external, and regulatory audits through the preparation of documentation, schedules, and analysis.\nIdentify opportunities to enhance processes, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.\nParticipate in special projects, financial analysis, and ad hoc initiatives that support the broader Finance function.\nWHAT WILL YOU BRING:\n2+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting experience.\nPost-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nCPA designation in progress or a commitment to pursuing the CPA program is considered an asset.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.\nProven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.\nExperience with financial reporting, ERP, or accounting systems.\nInvestment industry experience is considered an asset.\nExperience supporting external, internal, or regulatory audits is considered an asset. This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $76,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
