This will generally involve close communication with Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Management Teams, Traders and Compliance.WHAT YOU WILL DO\nProvide daily trading operations support from end-to-end, to all Portfolio Management groups within CI\nPerform Start of Day IBOR position reconciliation.\nResponsible for monitoring cash levels in the portfolios and investigating any issues to make sure the portfolios hold sufficient cash at all times \nKey contact for the portfolio management teams\nProvide guidance and assistance to the other team members, to help build the depth and breadth of skills and knowledge on the team \nCommunicate trade allocations across all markets to brokers, custodians and clients where necessary, verifying trades settle on time and research and correct any trade discrepancies\nAct as a point of contact for simple and complex instruments for post trade settlement discrepancies, as well as downstream Performance and Risk applications tools. \nInvestigate and resolve both simple and complex price challenges\nProactively identify and implement opportunities and enhancements to improve functions\nMonitor daily reconciliations between various internal and external systems\nDevelop a zero-tolerance attitude for trading and accounting errors, working tirelessly to reduce risks of errors and to quickly eradicate any that may arise.\nProactively research and validate multiple corporate action events for multiple markets across a diverse range of portfolios\nManage collateral held at counterparty, brokers and custodians\nMaintain team procedures and provide regular management reporting\nSMF maintenance and monitoring \nWHAT YOU WILL BRING\nBachelors’ degree in Business, Finance, or a related field\n3-5 years of “middle office” experience in the industry, preferably in a similar position\nCompletion of, or working towards a professional designation in the finance industry such as the CFA or FRM is a plus \nAdvanced knowledge and experience with Charles River Order Management systems\nExperience with Collateral Management Systems, CTM, DTCC Alert, Clearpar and other market products for trade matching and settlements\nStrong understanding of Exchange and OTC derivative valuation in one or more asset classes\nAdvanced Excel Skills and experience writing and working with various programming languages - Python, SQL, VBA, etc.\nExcellent communication and listening skills to understand business needs and translate those needs into workable solutions\nStrong attention to detail and analytical skills to clearly identify key issues\nSolid knowledge of the financial markets Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with time-sensitive deadlines\nThis opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $95,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
