And it’s our people, not algorithms, that cares to help our clients make better informed decisions.\nWe are innovative, agile, and inspired by data - and we are looking for people that share those values to join our mission to build stronger businesses!\nJoin the data-revolution!Key Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, maintain, and continuously improve automated test suites using Cypress and JavaScript.\nDefine and implement effective test automation strategies for complex web applications.\nDevelop and execute end-to-end (E2E), integration, regression, and functional tests.\nPerform API testingto validate integrations, business rules, data consistency, and system behavior.\nCollaborate closely with developers, Product Managers, and other QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.\nParticipate in requirements analysis and technical discussions to identify potential risks and quality issues early in the development process.\nEnsure appropriate test coverage for new features, bug fixes, and critical business flows.\nIdentify, document, track, and validate defects, providing clear steps and technical information to facilitate troubleshooting.\nUse Grafana and Sentryto monitor application behavior, analyze logs and errors, investigate failures, and support incident resolution.\nInvestigate production issues and participate in root cause analysis, helping the team prevent similar incidents in the future.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous validation during development and deployment.\nMonitor automated test execution, analyze failures, and continuously improve test reliability and stability.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual testing through automation while maintaining effective exploratory testing practices.\nValidate application behavior and data across different environments and configurations.\nPromote QA best practices and contribute to improving engineering and quality standards across the team.\nMentor and support other QA engineers, sharing knowledge and helping improve the team's overall testing practices.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nStrong experience (at least 5 years) in Software Quality Assurance and software testing.\nStrong hands-on experience with test automation using Cypress and JavaScript.\nExperience designing and maintaining scalable and reliable automated testing frameworks.\nStrong understanding of E2E, integration, regression, functional, and API testing.\nExperience testing modern web applications and distributed systems.\nStrong knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and software development lifecycle practices.\nExperience with REST API testingand tools used to validate APIs and integrations.\nGood understanding of databases and ability to validate data using SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with Gitfor version control and collaboration.\nHands-on experience with Grafana and Sentryfor monitoring, troubleshooting, error analysis, and incident investigation.\nAbility to analyze application logs, errors, metrics, and system behavior to identify and troubleshoot issues.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nAbility to work collaboratively with developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.\nAbility to take ownership of the quality of features from development through production.\nStrong English proficiency.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Node.jsand the JavaScript ecosystem.\nStrong knowledge of PostgreSQL.\nPrevious experience with AI-assisted development and testing tools.\nExperience with performance and load testing.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.\nCIAL provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
