(FCT)\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nDepartment: Production\n\nJob Description\n\nCIAR is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Officer with a background in fashion, garment production and tailoring.\nThe QC Officer will work closely with tailorsand the production team to identify defects, prevent production errors, recommend corrective actions and ensure that all outfits are properly finished before packaging and delivery.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting outfits at different stages of production to ensure they meet the company's quality standards, specifications and finishing requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEnsure quality standards are maintained throughout production.\nExamine finished outfits fordefects, incorrect measurements, poor fitting and finishing errors.\nRecommend improvements to reduce production defects, fabric waste and outfit returns.\nIdentify and document defective outfits and communicate issues to tailors and production supervisors.\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, defects, rejected items and corrective actions.\nEnsure defective outfits are corrected or reworked before approval.\nVerify that zippers, buttons, labels, pockets, collars and otherdetails are properly attached and finished.\nMonitor the quality of work produced by tailors and sewing operators.\nEnsure outfits meet approved designs, measurements, patterns and specifications.\nChecksizing, design consistency, fabric quality and overall appearance.\nConduct final inspections before outfits are approved for packaging and dispatch.\nConduct quality checks at different stages ofproduction.\nEnsure proper handling and storage of finished garments.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies:\n\nStrong knowledge of fashion designand tailoring processes.\nGood organisational and time-management skills.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nAbility to work with tailors, production supervisors and other team members.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify minor quality issues.\nGood understanding ofmeasurements, sizing and fitting.\nAbility to identify sewing, stitching andfinishing defects.\nAbility to work under production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.\nGood communication and reporting skills.\nAbility to use measuring tools and garment inspection equipment.\n\nRequirements\n\nEducational Qualifications:\n\nCandidates with relevant professional training or technical qualifications in tailoring and garment production would also be considered.\nMinimum of OND, HND or Bachelor's degree.\n\nWork Experience:\n\nMinimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Quality Control within the fashion, garment manufacturing or tailoring industry.\nPractical experience inspecting garments during and after production.\nPrevious experience working with tailors, fashion production teams or garment manufacturing companies.\nDemonstrated
