This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with CIBC's policies and procedures. The incumbent collaborates with cross-functional teams, manages stakeholder expectations, and leads project teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.\n\nResponsibilities: \nManage end-to-end technology and application migration projects using consolidation infrastructure solutions, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.\nDevelop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk management strategies.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams, including application development, operations, engineering, and vendors.\nEnsure project deliverables meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and stay within budget.\nTrack and reconcile financials, ensuring resolution of anomalies; update and reconcile the latest estimates, ensuring actuals to plan; make recommendations, escalating as appropriate.\nCommunicate project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.\nIdentify and mitigate migration risks, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.\nOversee testing, validation, and post-migration support activities.\nDrive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in migration methodologies.\nDevelop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.\nOversee project staff, delegating tasks to appropriate leads.\nCommunicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.\nEnsure adherence to systems development and project management processes.\nConduct and monitor risk assessments, addressing issues proactively.\nPresent updates to steering committees or project sponsors.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams on medium- to large-scale projects.\nPrepare and present cost-benefit analyses.\nPlan, execute, control, and close projects in alignment with CIBC policies and procedures.\n\nCross-Functional Relationships: \nWork closely with business analysts, development, and QA teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to coordinate project activities.\nRegularly interact with steering committees or project sponsors to present updates and receive feedback.\n\nCompliance Requirments/Responisibilities: \nAs an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.\n\nAuthories/Decision Rights: \nAs a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nRequirements: \nExperience: 7+ years of experience.\nIndividual contributor role focused on project coordination, release planning and coordination, and governance across one or more delivery streams (acting as a junior project coordination function).\nApplies governance standards and continuous improvement practices to strengthen release quality, control compliance, and operational stability.\n\nMust Have Skills: \n7+ years of project management experience, preferably in a technology or financial services environment, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Expertise in both waterfall and Agile\nGood understanding of application architectures, cloud platforms, and migration strategies (e. g., lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting).\nProficient with project management tools (e. g., MS Project, ServiceNow) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.\nExtensive experience in managing technology and business projects with a high degree of complexity, systems integration, and organizational change management.
