By joining us, you will be part of a team that is shaping the future of financial protection across Africa.\nAbout the Role\nReporting to the Business Development Manager, the role holder will generate revenue for CIC General Insurance Limited to achieve corporate annual budgets through the development of assigned markets and channels as a source of profitable business for the company through development of strong relationships and partnerships through identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and activating new insurance intermediaries to expand CIC’s distribution network, increase intermediary driven business, and drive sustainable growth in Gross Written Premium.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1.1) Portfolio Optimization:\nEnsure a balanced portfolio mix targeting Motor, Medical, and Non-Motor business to mitigate risk and maximize profitability.\n1.2) Recruitment of intermediaries:\nIdentify, engage, and support new intermediaries for CIC through targeted relationship management strategies to boost productivity and foster sustainable partnerships.\n1.3) Trainingand induction of intermediaries:\nPlan and execute training programs and consumer education initiatives to enhance product knowledge, market awareness, and channel performance.\n1.4) Profitable Business Acquisition:\nDrive the acquisition and retention of profitable business, ensuring sustainable growth through both new business and renewals.\n1.5) Customer Experience Excellence:\nChampion service excellence and ensure consistent delivery of an excellent customer experience across all touchpoints.\n1.6) Sales Force Capacity Building:\nBuild capacity among intermediaries and the internal sales force through training, development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.\n1.7) Premium Collection Efficiency:\nEnsure timely and efficient collection of premiums from the intermediaries and clients\n1.8) Client Query Resolution:\nLiaise with internal support functions to promptly address client enquiries and resolve complaints in line with service standards.\n1.9) Market Intelligence Reporting:\nGather and analyze market intelligence to inform product development, sales strategies, and customer engagement efforts.\n1.10) Quotation and Service Turnaround:\nEnsure prompt preparation and delivery of quotations and services to clients, brokers, and independent agents, supporting a responsive sales function.\nGeneric Duties:\nParticipate in planning and budgeting for the department\nParticipate in various departmental meetings\nAny other duty as may be given by the line manager\nAUDIT, AND RISK MANAGEMENT\nStrict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, practices and all internal processes and procedures as per the relevant manuals and comply with all relevant external legislation and regulations with regard to Compliance requirements.\nEnsure that as a staff you actively contribute to the department/division attaining a “good” rating in both internal and external audit by performing your role to the required standards and adhering to all internal processes and procedures as per relevant manuals, policies and regulations of the Company.\nEnsure that all risk management requirements within your remit are addressed and where necessary escalated through the available defined channels.\n\nWho We’re Looking For\nEssential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field.\nA diploma in Insurance is desirable\nMinimum of 2 (two) years of relevant experience.\nIf you have the aforementioned professional and academic qualifications and you are ready to execute the above mandate, strictly apply through: https://careers.cicinsurancegroup.com/ clearly indicating the position being applied for.\nThe application should reach us by close of business on 5th November, 2026.
