Reporting to the Head of Finance / Chief Financial Officer,\nyou will combine budgeting, forecasting, cost control and performance analysis\nto give management a clear view of the gap between plan, order costed and\nreality, and recommend corrective actions that protect margins and support\ngrowth.\n\nWe are looking for a team player with a\nkeen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, who is committed to\nproducing accurate and timely reports.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\nBudgeting,\nforecasting and reporting\n\nPrepare and deliver budgets and\nrolling forecasts for your business units / clusters\nProduce monthly management and\ncost-control reports, and provide the figures required for the monthly closing\nGive a clear view of the gap\nbetween budget and actual results\nTrain heads of department to\nunderstand their costs and support them in driving their budgets\n\nCost\ncontrol and analysis\n\nControl and forecast income and\nexpenditure, measuring performance against budget\nAnalyze variances on variable costs\nand deviations against standard costs\nRecord project and production\ncosts and back-charges accurately and on time\nProvide value-added analytical\nreports and ad-hoc analysis at managers' request\nDrive improvements to the\nmonth-end closing and reporting processes\n\nBusiness\npartnering and decision support\n\nGather and analyze financial\ninformation and trends to support internal decisions\nLead monthly operational and\nfinancial review meetings, presenting analysis and agreed action plans for\nvariances\nAdvise on finance-related\ndecisions and suggest improvements to problems identified\nSupport business planning\nthrough forecasts and performance evaluation based on key data\nAnalyze customer order\nperformance and report on it\nDevelop visual dashboards and\nmonthly reporting using AI and other available tools\nSupport operational and\ntechnical teams in Mauritius and overseas, and spend time on the operational\nfloor to understand what is happening on the ground\n\nGovernance,\nrisk and controls\n\nEnsure reliable reporting in\nline with Group requirements, reporting cycles and deadlines\nTake responsibility for\naccounting procedures, policies and the integrity of financial systems\nConduct risk assessments and\nadvise on ways to minimise risk\nDeliver management information,\ncombining financial reporting and operational KPIs, consistent with the\nconsolidated accounts\n\nTeam\nand general\n\nSupervise and support\ngrass-root level personnel within the finance and operations teams\nAssist the company in managing\nits investment portfolio and support budgeting and funding activities\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\nBachelor's degree in\nAccounting, Finance or a related field\nFully qualified professional\naccounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)\nMinimum 5 years' experience in\na management accounting, cost control or financial analysis role\nStrong analytical skills and\nadvanced proficiency in Excel and financial / ERP systems\nSolid understanding of\nmanagement accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cost-control principles, as\nwell as financial accounting, accounting standards and controls\nAbility to build clear,\naccurate reports and turn data into actionable insight\nExcellent organizational,\nprioritization and interpersonal skills\nWillingness to travel overseas\nExperience in a manufacturing,\ntextile or multi-entity group environment\nFamiliarity with ERP, business\nintelligence, reporting and AI tools\nStrong grasp of management\naccounting, budgeting, forecasting and cost-control principles.\nHave a strong understanding of\nfinancial accounting as well.\nAbility to build clear,\naccurate reports and translate data into actionable systems.\nSound understanding of\naccounting standards, controls and financial systems.\nWe\nwelcome applications from all qualified individuals and are committed to\ncreating an inclusive workplace.\n Management reserves the right to call only the\nbest candidates for an interview.
