The Candidate will be responsible for developing high quality Network Resource Adapters in a timely and cost-effective manner.\nEngineer will be responsible for design, development and testing of Assurance Resource Adapters for Networks including IP/MPLS, Optical networks, Telco cloud, 5G, SD-WAN etc. You will get an opportunity to innovate and influence new technologies that shape the future of Next Generation OSS platforms.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain Resource Adapters(RA) in the areas of Telecom OSS FM, PM, Inventory domains\nRA design & development for different Network Element types; Ensuring conceptual integrity; Reviewing all designs; Evolves design and maintenance guidelines/standards; Ensures standardisation to existing tools ; evaluating new features; Ensuring usability of the system\nAssist in preparation of RA Release Plan\nHandover of delivery to Delivery Team\nAssist in preparation of requirement documents\nAttend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.\nDevelop & deliver strategic RAs with advanced networking capabilities\nExperience\nSoftware Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in OSS development & deployment space\nHaving experience in object oriented programming (Java) is a must \nWorking experience on XML, perl/python/shell or other scripting languages in linux-based environment is a must \nSoftware Development experience in Telecom OSS FM, PM, Inventory domains \nUnderstanding Telecom Protocols like Rest API, NETCONF, SNMP, Telemetry, TL1 \nExperience in developing plans for system usability along with process experts \nQualifications :\nBachelor’s degree in Electronics/IT/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent with a minimum percentage of 75%.\nAt Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
