Connect with a career that matters.\nJunior Field Service Project Manager\nCiena Government Solutions Team (CGSI)\nWhat Will You Do at Ciena?\nCiena Government Solutions Team (CGSI) is seeking a motivated Junior Field Service Project Manager to support the successful delivery of field service projects. This role involves assisting with project planning, execution, and closeout activities while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to project objectives.\nThe primary responsibility of the Junior Field Service Project Manager is to work alongside senior Service Project Managers and assist with all aspects of project management.\nKey Responsibilities\nCollect all relevant project information required to scope and budget project deliverables.\nCoordinate all required project resources and provide support to manage those resources throughout project execution.\nCoordinate project deliverables to ensure timely customer delivery.\nPrimary Duties\nAssist Senior Project Managers with Engineering, Furnish, and Install (EF&I) project financials, schedules, scope, and quality management.\nValidate that the Project Sales Order and Statement of Work (SOW) are aligned.\nBuild and manage detailed project plans from project initiation through completion.\nCoordinate closely with Engineering, Deployment Coordinators, partners, and customers to execute project tasks and achieve milestones.\nMaintain project schedules, track deviations, and implement timely corrective actions when necessary.\nCommunicate project status, risks, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders and management.\nFacilitate cross-functional communication among internal teams, external suppliers, and customers.\nSupport process improvement initiatives related to project management practices.\nManage multiple projects within the CGSI customer base as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications (Must-Haves)\nU.S. Citizen.\nTechnical degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.\nEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).\nAbility to adjust work schedules to meet project demands, including support for after-hours calls involving overseas projects.\nAbility to travel to customer locations for key project-related meetings.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nAbility to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.\nDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.\nPay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
