This position drives security visibility, data integration, and operational effectiveness through scalable security solutions and collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role supports ongoing improvement of security operations by expanding SIEM capabilities and enabling data-driven decision-making.\nHow you will make an impact:\nMonitor and recommend improvements to SIEM visibility across infrastructure, SaaS platforms, cloud services, firewalls, IPS/IDS, WAF, proxies, Office 365,Azure , AWS.\n\nRecommend solutions that address security visibility, data retention, and analytical requirements.\n\nExecute data onboarding, enrichment, and deployment of detection logic to enhance security operations.\n\nCoordinate with security and non-security stakeholders to implement security recommendations and integrations.\n\nAdminister, monitor,maintain, patch, and upgrade security infrastructure.\n\nAutomate workflows and streamline operational processes using Terraform and Ansible.\n\nTroubleshoot security platform issues and recommend cost-efficient approaches for data filtering, routing, storage, and searchability.\n\nThe must haves:\nExperience: 4+ years’ experience in Security or security-related fields.\n\nExperience: 4+ years’ experience in SIEM management with a focus around program management.\n\nDemonstrated attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nAwareness of cybersecurity trends, issues, and hacking techniques.\n\nAvailability to work after hours when needed.\n\nSelf-motivation to complete tasks.\n\nAbility to work within a team environment and coordinate with stakeholders inside and outside the security team.\n\nNice to haves:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nExcellent ability to document platforms and requirements.\n\nExcellent time management and task prioritization.\n\nAt Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
