As part of the Digital Channels & Search team, the position contributes to content development, SEO and AI discoverability initiatives, and integrated marketing campaigns that support global and regional priorities.\nHow you will make an impact:\nWrite and edit blog posts for the Ciena corporate blog.\nDevelop content for organic social media and other digital marketing assets.\nMaintain editorial calendars and coordinate content production schedules.\nOptimize content for SEO and AI-powered search using performance insights and established best practices.\nMonitor content performance, search visibility, and engagement metrics to identify optimization opportunities.\nPartner with marketing teams and subject matter experts to create customer-focused content supporting campaigns, product launches, and thought leadership initiatives.\nCollaborate with regional teams to develop and localize content aligned with global campaigns and regional priorities.\nThe must haves:\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, or a related field.\n Experience: 2+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts through writing, editing, and proofreading activities.\nExperience creating content for blogs, websites, social media, and other digital marketing channels.\nApplication of SEO fundamentals and interest in AI-powered search and content optimization.\nUtilization of content management systems, SEO tools, or web analytics platforms.\nNice to haves:\nAbility to work within a geographically dispersed team across a multi-functional organization.\nInitiative to advance projects with limited direction.\nStrong work ethic and commitment to achieving goals and deadlines.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.\nAbility to listen, learn, and positively accept feedback and mentoring.\nTeam-oriented approach with consistent positive engagement.\nPay Range:\nUSD 65,000 to 100,000\nPay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.\nNon-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
