The role involves using Generative AI and implementing data models and ingress/egress adaptation layer components between Blue Planet Orchestrator/Inventory products and external devices within a micro-services oriented, container-based system architecture. The position provides exposure to OSS platforms supporting IP/MPLS, optical networks, telco cloud, 5G, and SD-WAN environments.\nHow you will make an impact:\nDevelop new software micro-services, libraries, and features for Resource Adapters, device simulators, and tools that auto-generate data models and RA pipelines.\nCreate automated test suites for Resource Adapter feature validation.\nTroubleshoot and resolve product issues identified during system integration testing and customer deployments.\nCollaborate with local and remote software development, test, delivery, and support teams.\nParticipate in planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation activities.\nThe must haves:\nEducation: Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Electronics/IT/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent,\nPython based development in Linux environment\nJSON\nGitHub Copilot\nRest API\nComputer Networking\nCloud environments (e.g., Docker, AWS, Openstack etc.)\nStrong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms & design patterns\nNice to haves:\nExperience designing, developing, and testing Resource Adapters for IP/MPLS, optical networks, telco cloud, 5G, or SD-WAN environments.\nAt Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
