In this role, the individual will collaborate closely with the client in the US and our engineering team in Taipei to develop, integrate, and deploy the AI-powered Pops Applications.\nExcellent English communication skills are essential, as the role involves direct interaction with the customer. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong asset and will help facilitate effective collaboration with the Taipei team.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable full stack web applications, including frontend, backend services, APIs, databases, and system integrations.\nPartner with customer stakeholders and product owners to clarify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nDrive technical discussions and collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve implementation, testing, environment, and data-related issues.\nModernize and enhance existing applications while maintaining legacy systems where appropriate.\nTroubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and improve system reliability and performance.\nParticipate in system design, architecture reviews, and code reviews to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.\nContinuously improve engineering practices, software quality, and development efficiency.\nTake ownership of features throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to production support.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.\nExperience with asynchronous processing, job scheduling, or workflow orchestration.\nExperience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native application development.\nExperience working with HR, ERP, CRM, or other enterprise business applications.\nExperience working in Agile and globally distributed engineering teams.\nRequirements\nRequired Skills and Experiences:\n3 - 7 years of professional software development experience building enterprise web applications.\nStrong proficiency in Java; experience with Kotlin is preferred.\nExperience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Typescript, Angular, Vue.js, or similar).\nExperience developing RESTful APIs and database-driven applications.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and the software development lifecycle.\nAbility to understand business workflows, communicate with customer stakeholders, and translate requirements into technical solutions.\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills across application, database, and integration layers.\nSelf-motivated, a quick-learner and reliably deliver on time in a fast-paced work environment .\nExcellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and ownership with the ability to work independently.\nEducation and Training:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. \nPreferred Education and Certification:\nHigher degrees is preferred\nProfessional Engineering designation is a plus\nBenefits\nExtended group insurance including prescription drugs, dental and vision cares\nRRSP employer match\n15 days annual vacation\nCIeNET offers equal opportunities to people.
