Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - Indurad, this role supports the financial management and controlling activities of the business by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with IFRS and company policies, managing accounting operations, and providing financial analysis that supports strategic business decision-making.\nThe Location: This position is based in Aachen, Germany. This is a full-time, permanent position. The primary business language is English. We are putting data to work to boost efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety across industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, public sector, and mobility applications.\nOur technologies are shaping the production and people-related ecosystems to become increasingly connected and autonomous-ensuring a scalable, sustainable future.\nResponsibilities\nAs Assistant Controller (m/f/d) you will be responsible for these activities:\nPrepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Hexagon financial policies.\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.\nMonitor cash flow, oversee payment approvals, and maintain effective financial controls.\nManage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including reconciliations and account adjustments.\nReview general ledger activity, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and local tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.\nSupport monthly reporting, financial analytics, and management reporting deadlines.\nCoordinate external audits and maintain compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, insurance requirements, and company policies.\nSupport the FP&A team and Senior Finance Manager with financial reporting and analysis.\nSupervise, coach, and develop members of the accounting and controlling team.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.\nQualifications\nMust Have\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.\nMinimum five years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or management role.\nStrong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, financial controls, and accounting principles.\nExperience preparing statutory financial statements and supporting external audits.\nExperience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.\nExperience using ERP or financial reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Syteline, OneStream, QuickBooks, or similar.\nAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.\nWillingness to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally.\nNice To Have\nCPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.\nExperience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or revenue recognition.\nExperience working within an international or matrix organization.\nExperience supporting finance transformation or continuous process improvement initiatives.\nGerman language skills.\nKey Success Factors\nDelivers accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.\nDemonstrates sound financial judgment and strong analytical capability.\nBuilds collaborative relationships across Finance and cross-functional teams.\nLeads with integrity while supporting the development of team capability.\nContinuously identifies opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency.\nMaintains a high level of attention to detail while effectively managing competing priorities.\nNot sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
