Reporting to Senior Manager, Commerce Operations in the Commerce Systems team, you will interact with key business teams (primarily sales and marketing) while supporting, improving, and extending our commerce system capabilities across our autonomy and positioning portfolio.\nThe Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based onsite in Calgary, AB and we offer hybrid work once both training and onboarding are completed.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Business & Data Analyst, responsibilities include:\nBusiness AnalysisElicit, analyze, and document business requirements.\nTranslate requirements into clear, testable system requirements.\nAct as the liaison between business and technical teams.\nManage requirements throughout their lifecycle, including updates and change tracking.\nPartner with other Business Analysts to support KPI tracking and measure solution success.\nSupport UAT and validation to ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.\n\nData AnalysisUse SQL and other data analysis techniques to query databases, investigate data issues, validate business processes, identify trends, and support decision-making.\nDevelop and execute complex SQL queries to support requirements analysis, testing, root cause investigation, and reporting activities.\nSupport our Business Intelligence and data analytics competency and capabilities.\nDesign and develop reports fit for the purpose of business requirements.\n\nChange ManagementLead stakeholder readiness and adoption for system changes.\nDevelop training materials and support enablement.\nAct as a primary support contact during change rollouts and post-release stabilization.\n\nProcess Improvement and DocumentationMaintain requirements, process, and training documentation. \nIdentify and recommend process improvements.\nEnsure documentation is accurate, current, and aligned with system changes. \n\nQualifications\nMust-Have:\nBachelor’s degree in business with supporting IS/technical project experience.\nA minimum of 5 years’ business analysis or a related field.\nStrong SQL proficiency with the ability to develop complex queries, join and analyze data across multiple tables, troubleshoot data issues, validate results, and support reporting and analytics initiatives.\nDemonstrated experience in requirements elicitation and translation into effective stakeholder and system level requirements.\nExceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.\nExperience working with cross-functional teams to design and implement processes, workflow, and administrative optimizations, including demonstrated ability to work with remote/offshore teams.\nOwns the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results.\nKey Success Factors:\nThrives in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. \nTakes ownership of outcomes and proactively identifies solutions. \nComfortable working in ambiguous environments and driving clarity for stakeholders. \nStrong attention to detail, particularly around data quality and documentation.\nDemonstrates curiosity and analytical thinking by leveraging data to identify root causes, validate assumptions, and recommend solutions.\nNice-to-Have:\nPrevious Salesforce or ERP experience.\nPrevious experience supporting Jira and Agile delivery teams. \nCertified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or related Business Analyst certification.\nNot sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
