In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both the network processing team to generate GNSS corrections, and collaborate with the positioning engine team to use those corrections for real time positioning applications. You will assist to develop and test this positioning services software from end-to-end, and through this, build a deeper understanding of error sources that impact GNSS positioning. Our industry-leading global and regional correction services are broadcast via satellite and TCP/IP and used by marine, agricultural and automotive industries. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.\nResponsibilities\nAs our Positioning Services Intern, responsibilities include:\nWork with industry-leading experts to develop and test end-to-end GNSS positioning solutions, from correction computation to positioning.\nPlan and execute data collections to support investigations into existing and new technologies.\nPerform formal and exploratory testing, troubleshooting failures and investigating issues.\nContribute to test documentation, including the design, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements.\nProvide statistical and graphical analyses on performance data and product functionality.\nDevelop tools to analyse and visualize positioning and correction performance.\nManage development environments, correction and monitoring software installation, maintenance and monitoring.\nUpdate engineering documentation to create system knowledge and enhance product robustness.\nQualifications\nMust-Have:\nRegistered in the Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term; Masters and PhD students are also eligible.\nEnrolled in Electrical, Computer, Software, Geomatics Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics at a recongized post secondary institution.\nAvailable for a minimum 12 month work term, 37.5 hours a week.\nStrong academic credentials.\nStrong communication skills, both oral and written.\nKey Success Factors:\nAble to work in a collaborative distributed team environment.\nConfident self-starter.\nAble to visualize and organize information from a complex, multi-program software system.\nDetail oriented person able to follow complex instructions with a “first-time right” attitude.\nMotivated by challenging work.\nYou are comfortable working individually but know when to ask for help.\nNice-to-Have:\nKnowledge of GPS/GNSS/INS.\nKnowledge of estimation methods.\nExperience with both Windows and Linux.\nIf you require any special accommodation, please email our team at  and we will be pleased to follow up with you.
