Together, we’ll push boundaries and go above what’s expected of us to meet the challenges of tomorrow and engineer a better world!\nPrimary Responsibilities\nInterpret contract documents and administer construction contracts.\nReview progress, prepare payment certificates, and certify payments\nReview, provide recommendations on, and resolve Contract Change Requests and Claims while managing change management processes\nWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to evaluate and respond to RFIs, change requests, claims and contract disputes\nMonitor construction progress and contract compliance\nResolve field issues in collaboration with the project team\nIdentify project risks and recommend practical solutions\nLead construction progress meetings and prepare minutes\nFoster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, municipal staff and regulatory agencies\nContribute to the success of the Infrastructure Field Services team through additional project-related responsibilities as required\n Contract administration experience in construction/reconstruction of water and/or wastewater infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment, water supply, storage and distribution and wastewater collection\nStrong understanding of construction contract administration, including contract interpretation, change management, claims, scheduling and dispute resolution.\nLicensed member of the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Certified Civil Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) would be considered an asset\nPositive attitude with good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills\nExperience in project planning, risk management, cost management, schedule management and preparation/administration of contract documents and specifications\nAbility to interpret construction drawings and specifications\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team\nMTO Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing and access to a personnel vehicle\nEffective communicator possessing demonstrated skills in dealing with other staff, contractors, and the public, with matters arising from construction projects\nFamiliarity with current traffic control regulations\nFamiliarity with relevant environmental regulations, municipal approvals and local by-laws\nPossess working knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, and Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS) for Municipal projects\nExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project).\nExperience with MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore or other construction management software is considered an asset.\nIntegrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence.\nWhy choose CIMA+?
