In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience (minimum 15 years) to contribute to the growing electrical team in Edmonton. This opportunity will provide the chance to lead and shape the team. You will also lead projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, government, healthcare, and recreational facilities, while also fostering client relationships.\nYou will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Edmonton AB office.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nContribute to the growing electrical practice in Edmonton, leveraging your experience to date and the expertise available in other locations across CIMA+\nDirectly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships\nParticipate in business development activities through the Alberta area\nAs the team grows, contribute to the development of the electrical engineering group's technical expertise in order to meet our clients' needs\nAnalyze and solve complex problems, identify appropriate work methods and guidelines, and coordinate project completion\nAssist in the supervision and management of the electrical engineering team members, including engineers, technicians, and support staff\nEvaluate technical work, delegate responsibilities and provide instructions.\nMake recommendations regarding the selection of new employees in the recruitment process, training, performance evaluation and compensation management\nPrepare and reply to proposals in collaboration with the team assigned to this task\n Eligible for membership with APEGA - P.Eng. or P.L.Eng.\nOver 15 years' experience in electrical engineering in the buildings sector \nExperience in managing teams of professional engineers is an asset \nKnowledge and experience in the consulting engineering market and with clients in Edmonton and surrounding area\nDemonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required\nAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is an asset\nExperience mentoring junior technical staff is an asset\nIntegrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence \nAt CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
