The successful candidate will lead, design and execute projects with support from various CIMA disciplines.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nMentor local engineering team and provide guidance to assemble deliverable packages for different types of delivery models \nContribute to and manage technical design related to renewable energy (Solar, Wind, BESS, Microgrid) and fleet & personal vehicle electrification projects across Western Canada \nDesign and evaluate behind-the-meter Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) \nDevelop high-voltage (HV) utility interconnection packages, including Protection & Control (P&C) coordination, single-line diagrams, and primary service entrance sizing. \nApply best practices and identify innovative solutions; carry out engineering analyses, studies, design and construction oversight \nHave expertise to undertake various studies such as arc flash, load flow, short circuit, grounding, Protection & Control (P&C) relay coordination, etc. \nLiaise with clients, local Utilities, project team members, cross-sector colleagues and other stakeholders regarding project requirements \nAttend, participate in, and lead client technical meetings \nPerform site visits for assessment, , inspections, construction support and commissioning for projects. \nManage budget, schedule and quality of the projects \nTraining and knowledge transfer follow-up \nWorking proficiency with various engineering software: \nPower Systems Analysis - ETAP, EasyPower, PSSE/PSCAD \nDesign/Layout - AutoCAD, MicroStation, PVsyst \nRespond to RFPs, participate in and prepare proposals and support business development \nUniversity Degree in Engineering, Electrical or Renewable Energy engineering preferred. \nRegistered member of a Professional Engineering association in Canada \nRegistered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the USA is an asset. \nOver 10 years of experience, with 5 years of relevant experience in the field of transportation electrification, renewable energy, mining, manufacturing, and/or building electricity. \nDemonstrated experience managing utility interconnection applications for load or generator connections and involvement in utility System Impact Studies (SIS) is an asset. \nInterpersonal skills that encourage and foster teamwork, great technical skills for writing studies and reports, and managing multiple projects simultaneously \nPassionate about Energy Transition and other Renewable Energy Technologies \nFamiliarity with policies, standards, guidelines, rules and regulations as applicable to North American energy markets will be an added advantage \nFluent in English; oral and written \nIntegrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence \nAt CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
