In this role, you will leverage your experience to lead and shape projects across various sectors, including commercial, institutional, educational and some industrial.\nThis is a hybrid role that could be based out of either our Bowmanville office or Mississauga offices (2 days at the office).\nPrimary Responsibilities\nOversee or directly contribute to the structural design of buildings including commercial, institutional, educational, sports & recreation, healthcare, airports, transportation, and industrial.\nPreparation of technical drawings and specifications\nComplete condition assessments of existing infrastructure and buildings\nWork with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion\nEnsure compliance to the quality assurance and control program\nManage the work of team of junior engineers and technologists\nManage structurally design on multi disciplinary projects\nPrepare proposals\nLead design of concrete, steel, and mass timber structures.\n Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering\nMinimum 8 years of experience in design, construction and project management of structural buildings projects\nMembership as Engineer from Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO)\nPSPC Reliability Clearance is an asset\nExperience leading structural design of buildings while working in multidisciplinary teams\nTeam Spirit - Able to work with multi disciplinary teams\nProficiency in English (spoken and written)\nKnowledge of structural analysis software and design tools (eg SAP2000 or similar)\nIn depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Canadian design standards\nValid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for site visits, as required)\nIntegrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence .\nAt CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
