The Backend Engineer will develop and scale backend services, improve cloud cost tools, help build a new LLM product, and strengthen engineering workflows and reliability. Responsibilities Own backend projects from start to finish in a flat team with no silos, either improving the existing cloud cost tools or building new ones Design, build, and scale the backend services and infrastructure behind the AI-powered savings platform Help build the new LLM product as the team grows and potentially splits into a cloud-optimization team and an LLM team Work daily with the founding engineers and the CEO in the San Francisco office, so the code you write reaches customers quickly Strengthen engineering culture through code reviews, better dev workflows and CI/CD, and by keeping the system reliable and fast Skills We're looking for strong, ambitious, low-ego engineers from top universities, ideally with startup experience, who thrive with a lot of autonomy Experience at a fast-paced B2B startup, AWS, or a larger tech company Undergraduate CS or engineering degree from a top school (e.g., Prin
