Sushi Chef’s must have a strong desire to pursue culinary in the future or prior restaurant experience. A Sushi Chef will work in front of guests while preparing foods at the sushi bar and ensuring a fun and inviting experience. They should also possess high energy, be outgoing, and be a quality driven team player.Responsibilities:\nThe essential duties and responsibilities of a Sushi Chef include, but are not limited to, the following:\nPreparation of all types of sushi line in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls\nFollows and executes prep lists daily\nMaintains policies and procedures to minimize food waste and theft\nCleans food preparation area and equipment after each use\nProvides a professional image at all times through proper Cinemark culinary attire\nEnsures that standard operating procedures and all preventative maintenance, safety, sanitation are consistently achieved\nConsistently wipes down and sanitizes Employee and Guest high-contact areas\nProperly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position-specific tasks\nAdapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks\nMonitors safety and or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports issues to management\nPerforms other work-related duties as assigned\nRequirements:\nMust be at least 18 years of age\nCompletes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required\nTeam Members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program\nAvailability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidays\nRequires regular and consistent attendance\nHas an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift\nProvides excellent Guest service\nInterpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities. Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English\nAbility to work in a team environment and independently\nAbility to take and follow direction\nResponds with a sense of urgency\nPrior work experience as a Sushi Cook or sushi products preferred\nAbility to proficiently prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used\nMust be able to clearly explain how food is prepared, cooked, and served to guests.\nAdvanced knife skills a plus\nPhysical and Environmental Requirements:\nFrequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.\nFrequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.\nNoise level may be moderate to high at times.\nBe able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.\nBenefits Available:\nAt Cinemark, we believe every team member should feel like a hero.
