This position will oversee and handle all workers’ compensation claims for the organization, in addition to the oversight of the company’s Third-Party Administrators. This role reports directly to the Sr. Claims Manager and will also communicate with external partners. This exciting and important role will be integral in ensuring Cinemark’s Workers’ Compensation claims process is aligned with industry best practices, fits the company culture and business strategy, and provides great value to our team members.Responsibilities\nTriages new incidents, conducts initial investigations, and collaborates with TPA on handling\nCollects pertinent information for TPA, as needed\nAnalyzes claim costs, makes recommendations, and mitigates exposure by expediting closure with appropriate action plan in collaboration with the Third-Party Administrator and/or Insurer\nManages the multi-state Return to Work Program\nCoordinates directly with team members, adjusters, case managers, and medical providers for quick resolution of claims and ensures the program is followed\nOversees monopolistic state worker’s compensation claims for OH and WA\nActs as liaison to claims adjusters and attorneys regarding litigated claims\nUtilizes and updates files in Risk Management Information System (RMIS)\nEnsures multi-state compliance in the claim management process\nCoordinates, attends and leads litigation planning conferences with defense counsel and Third-Party Administrator on litigated matters\nSupports Risk Management with day-to-day requests, analyzing loss trends and strategy, ad-hoc reporting, and other related projects\nOversees regulatory WC state postings during renewal\nAdditional tasks as requested by supervisor, and may have opportunity to assist with General Liability matters\nRequirements\n7+ years of hands-on Workers’ Compensation adjusting experience, managing claims within a Risk Management Department or the Claims Department of an insurance carrier or Third-Party Administrator\n2+ years of Customer Service experience with a proven record of success\n3+ years of Workers’ Compensation Litigation Management experience\nAll-Lines Adjuster License or Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License\nAssociate in Claims (AIC), preferred\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAn understanding of legal principles related to Workers’ Compensation\nKnowledge of Workers’ Compensation procedures in monopolistic states - OH and WA\nAbility to think analytically and logically to make independent decisions\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work with external partners\nMulti-state jurisdictional experience is a plus\nHigh level of enthusiasm and energy\nStrong organizational skills and ability to work under competing deadlines\nMust be detailed and results oriented\nProficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Etc.) and RMIS and/or Claims systems\nBenefits Available:\nAt Cinemark, we believe every team member should feel like a hero.
