Great opportunity for someone who is a team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall \"Roll Up Your Sleeves\" approach to troubleshooting. The ideal Conformance Technician will possess at least 2 years of experience working with various formats of digital video sources and encoding, including expertise in Digital Portal specs.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuickly comprehend technical specifications and apply that understanding. \nMonitor and prioritize a high volume and time sensitive order queue. \nEnsure source assets are restored and conformed as required. \nValidate video, audio and timed text media assets against a variety of client and internal specifications. \nCommunicate and document internal rejections to the appropriate teams. \nVerify integrity of deliverables and delivery package prior to servicing. \nMaintain servicing action logs as needed \nSuccinctly and efficiently handoff projects with next-up shifts \nOperate with a high sense of urgency and discretion \nOther tasks as needed to meet project deadlines \nEssential Qualifications / Competencies\nConforming audio, video, and subtitle/caption content to platform specifications (iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.). \nHigh level understanding of subtitling specification and formats, audio sample rates, video frame rates, SMPTE timecode and traditional multichannel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1, ATMOS). \nUnderstanding of industry format standards such as PAL, NTSC, timecode, framerate, codec, audio settings/configurations, Frame Rate Conversions, captions, subtitles, forced Narrative, SDH \nKnowledge of post-production guidelines and workflows using tools such as Adobe Premiere Suite, Clipster, Transkoder, Cortex, Resolve, and various transcoding utilities such as Compressor, AME, Episode Pro. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate with other groups. \nStrong data entry and proofreading skills. \nAbility to work independently. \nProficient with both Mac and PC operating systems. \nComfortable with change and able to adapt as needed to meet the needs of our clients. \nDesired Skills and Experience\nExperience in a post-production or media creation environment. \nUnderstanding of video compression and various codecs used by VOD platforms and broadcasters. \nAbility to work independently while managing a heavy workload. \nStrong organization skills and ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. \nEnjoy work in a fast-paced environment. \nExcellent oral and written communication skills. \nAttention to detail. \nA positive, can-do attitude and team player. \nAbility to work flexible shifts (AM, PM, Weekends). \nCineverse Giant Worldwide is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not tolerate or promote discrimination or harassment of any kind.
