The ideal candidate will be an organized, self-starter, with 4+ years of general accounting experience, a team player with a 'can-do' attitude, a willingness to do what is needed to help achieve company and departmental goals, and the ability to work through large data sets and sources with speed and accuracy. The position will report to the Director and will interact directly with other accounting/finance team members and, periodically, senior management.\nEssential Functions:\nEnsures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.\nLiaise with customers across various revenue streams to send invoices and follow-ups.\nResponsible person for an account with deep expertise and knowledge in Accounts receivable, accruals & recons.\nWork cross-functionally, collaborating with teams across the company to ensure appropriate revenue recognition, accrual and amortization of expenses, project implementation and process improvements.\nPerform multiple account analysis and complex reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.\nCompile and reconcile different sources of data to calculate and recognize different lines of revenue.\nIndependently identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.\nEscalate issues and present recommendations to management.\nSupport variance analysis and other ad-hoc financial reports as needed.\nActive involvement in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process.\nEnsure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.\nAssist with the implementation of financial systems, controls, policies and procedures to support the rapid growth and expansion of the company.\nDrive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings.\nInteract with accounting management regarding corporate financial matters.\nCollaborate with sales teams and engage directly on call with customers to ensure seamless communication and support\nTake lead to set up calls to recon accounts\nEssential Qualifications/Competencies:\nExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.\nThorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with intermediate-level experience using the other applications within the MS Office Suite.\nKnowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP.\nExperience with the creation of journal entries, revenue recognition and account reconciliations.\nExperience with NetSuite is a PLUS.\nPrior experience in major media, entertainment or technology services company is a PLUS\nDemonstrated leadership and coaching skills, experience managing teams and projects.\nMust be able to multi-task; be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nGreat interpersonal skills - maintain confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.\nAbility to communicate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates group presentation skills.\nBachelor’s degree in AccountingFinance required.\nMinimum 4-5 years of progressive general accounting experience.\nPublic accounting experience is a PLUS\nCPA designation is a PLUS\nExperience with Accounts Receivable processes is PLUS\nBackground in accounts receivable, general ledger, FLUX analysis, journal entries & financial statement is required\nMust be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
