DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:\nSupport the integration, testing, and validation of autonomous truck control systems in both laboratory and field environments.\nExecute system-level testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for autonomous vehicle functionalities.\nAnalyze test data, identify root causes of system issues, and collaborate with software and controls teams on corrective actions.\nDevelop and maintain test procedures, validation plans, and technical documentation.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including software, controls, mechanical, and systems engineering groups.\nSupport field deployments and evaluate system performance, reliability, and safety.\nParticipate in debugging activities and verification of software releases and control system updates.\nEnsure compliance with engineering standards, testing protocols, and quality requirements.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport integration, testing, and validation activities for autonomous truck control systems and related technologies.\nExecute laboratory and field testing to verify system performance, functionality, and reliability.\nTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and controls-related issues during development and validation phases.\nAnalyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.\nDevelop, maintain, and execute test plans, validation procedures, and technical documentation.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams including software, controls, systems, and product engineering.\nSupport deployment and commissioning of autonomous systems in field environments.\nMonitor system performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.\nEnsure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety protocols.\nCommunicate testing progress, issues, and recommendations to project stakeholders.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.\n2+ years of experience in controls engineering, systems integration, testing, validation, or product development.\nExperience working with autonomous systems, vehicle controls, embedded systems, or off-highway equipment is preferred.\nHands-on experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system validation activities.\nFamiliarity with laboratory and field testing environments.\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in a product development setting.\nKnowledge of data acquisition, analysis tools, and engineering documentation practices.\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.\nREQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:\nExperience with control systems development, integration, testing, and validation.\nKnowledge of autonomous systems, vehicle controls, embedded systems, or off-highway/mobile equipment.\nProficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware, software, and control system issues.\nExperience with data acquisition, data analysis, and test reporting tools.\nUnderstanding of system verification, validation methodologies, and test procedures.\nFamiliarity with CAN communication protocols, J1939, and vehicle network architectures.\nExperience with diagnostic and calibration tools for control systems.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.\nWorking knowledge of software development and validation processes.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.\nDESIRED SKILLS:\nExperience working with autonomous vehicles, autonomous haul trucks, or advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).\nFamiliarity with embedded software development, calibration, and validation processes.\nExposure to HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing environments.\nKnowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, CANalyzer, CANoe, Vector tools, or similar engineering software.\nExperience with Python, MATLAB, or scripting tools for test automation and data analysis.\nUnderstanding of machine control systems, sensor integration, and vehicle network communications.\nExperience in mining, construction, agricultural, or off-highway equipment industries.\nKnowledge of functional safety standards and system reliability methodologies.\nAbility to work
