With our dedicated team of experienced technical professionals, Cintal aims to add value for its customers by leveraging advanced technologies to reduce product costs, shorten design and development lead times, and accelerate the introduction of high-quality products to the market.\nBENEFITS:\n10 paid holidays per year\n2 weeks of paid time off per year, the current year is pro-rated based on start date\nAccess to the company’s medical insurance, including dental and vision\nEligibility for life insurance and disability coverage for short or long-term disabilities or long- term care needs\n401 (k) eligibility with employer contribution annually\nReimbursement for relocation expenses up to a certain amount on a case-by-case basis\nYearly bonus based on company performance\nJOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:\nDevelop and maintain real-time electrification plant models using MATLAB/Simulink. \nDevelop, configure, and maintain dSPACE and OPAL-RT HIL test environments.\nCreate requirements-based HIL test plans and test cases. \nDevelop automated regression tests using Python or similar scripting languages\nExecute software release and regression testing using both automated and manual methods.\nAnalyze test results, document defects, and support root-cause investigations.\nCollaborate with embedded controls and software engineers to validate new features and debug issues. \nSupport CAN/J1939 communications, diagnostics, fault injection, and ECU integration testing.\nMaintain test traceability, documentation, and verification records.\nImprove verification efficiency through reusable test automation and standardized HIL processes.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelop and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation models and test environments using MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, and OPAL-RT. \nDesign, execute, and document requirements-based verification and validation test cases. \nCreate and maintain automated test scripts and regression test frameworks using Python or similar tools. \nPerform software integration, functional, and regression testing for embedded control systems.\nAnalyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and support root cause investigations.\nCollaborate with software, controls, and systems engineering teams to validate new features and enhancements.\nSupport CAN/J1939 communication testing, diagnostics, and ECU integration activities. \nMaintain verification documentation, test reports, and traceability records.\nContribute to continuous improvement of HIL processes, test automation, and verification methodologies.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. \n2+ years of experience in embedded software testing, verification, validation, or controls engineering. \nExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing using dSPACE, OPAL-RT, or similar platforms. \nHands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink model development and simulation. \nExperience developing automated test scripts using Python or similar programming languages.\nFamiliarity with embedded control systems, software development lifecycle, and verification processes. \nExperience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols and diagnostic tools is preferred.\nKnowledge of electrification, powertrain controls, or vehicle systems is a plus\nREQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:\nStrong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for model development and simulation.\nExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing using dSPACE, OPAL-RT, or similar platforms. \nKnowledge of embedded software verification, validation, and testing methodologies. \nProficiency in Python or other scripting languages for test automation. \nExperience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols and related diagnostic tools.\nUnderstanding of embedded control systems and software integration processes. \nExperience creating and executing automated and manual test cases. \nFamiliarity with version control and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.\nDESIRED SKILLS:\nExperience with electrification, powertrain, vehicle controls, or off-highway equipment systems. \nFamiliarity with model-based development and code generation processes. \nKnowledge of control system design, calibration, and validation techniques. \nExperience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or equivalent. \nExposure to CI/CD, automated testing frameworks, and software quality processes. \nUnderstanding of functional safety standards and embedded system development practices. \nExperience with data analysis, troubleshooting, and test result reporting. \nStrong communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.\nWe are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and global team.
