JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- Design, develop, and analyze thermal and cooling systems for engine and electrification applications.
- Perform CFD simulations and thermal analyses using tools such as ANSYS Fluent and GT-SUITE.
- Evaluate cooling system performance and recommend design improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and validation activities.
- Support testing, data analysis, and correlation of simulation results with physical testing.
- Develop technical reports, documentation, and engineering recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to thermal management and system efficiency.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, cost, and reliability requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform thermal and CFD analyses.
- Develop and optimize cooling system designs.
- Analyze simulation and test data.
- Support product development and validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Troubleshoot and improve thermal system performance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in thermal systems, CFD, or product development engineering.
- Experience with cooling system design, analysis, and validation preferred.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent and GT-SUITE.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- CFD analysis and thermal simulations.
- ANSYS Fluent and GT-SUITE experience.
- Heat transfer and fluid mechanics knowledge.
- Cooling system design and performance analysis.
- Data analysis and engineering problem-solving.
- Mechanical design and product development.
