This role researches, recommends and implements changes to enhance information systems security and monitoring capabilities. The IT Security Engineer will work collaboratively with various Cintas partners to design, build, and deploy security frameworks.\n\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nIdentify gaps between existing controls and Cintas’ IT security roadmap.\nEngineer the solutions (processes, technologies) to mitigate the control gaps.\nPresent proposed solutions to IT management.\nCoordinate with vendors for proof-of-concept, proof-of-value, and pilot exercises. \nReview information systems to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities and implement changes and document upgrades.\nTake part of on-call rotation to triage any potential security incidents.\nParticipating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.\nMaintains and grows knowledge and understanding of information security, risk management and regulatory compliance topics.\nProvides occasional after hours and weekend support work for project efforts.\nAct as a mentor for junior engineers.\n\nSkills/Qualifications\nREQUIRED:\n\nHigh school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT area is preferred.\nIndustry certifications preferred (e.g. Security+).\nHands-on experience with offensive security tools (e.g. Kali, Metasploit, Burp, etc.) required.\nMinimum of 7 years experience in Information Technology.\nMinimum of 4 years overall in Information Security is preferred.\nStrong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures.\nStrong knowledge of networking and infrastructure best practices.\n\nBenefits\nCintas offers comprehensive and competitive medical, dental and vision benefits, with premiums below the national average.
