Must have excavator and or backhoe experience. Must have valid drivers license and able to obtain Class A CDL License in 6 months.\n Responsibilities\nInstall, maintain, repair, relocate and retire new or existing natural gas facilities and appurtenances\nAssist with, plan and set up work zone safety and traffic control measures\nPerform general site preparation, restoration and right of way maintenance duties\nDevelop proficiency in safe operation of heavy equipment such as mini-excavators, back hoes, skid steers, trenchers, etc., including, but not limited to excavation around utilities (natural gas, electric, etc.)\nPerform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment\nRun power tools\nPerform hand digging\nTransport Equipment to and From Jobsites\nLoad and Unload Equipment\nMaintain material inventory on truck\nActive leadership skills as lead position while crew foreman is offsite.\nWorking knowledge of underground utilities.\nRecognize and React to Abnormal Operating Conditions\nWorking knowledge of 811 Requirements and Procedures\nRequirements\nRequirements\nEducation: High school diploma (Preferred)\nExperience: 5+ years of natural gas heavy equipment operation; Knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards (preferred)\nDOT drug screen required\nPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
