If you want to do work that matters, at a company that is genuinely changing how enterprise infrastructure gets built and run, we want to talk.\nMust be located in Japan.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nCIQ is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Sr. Solutions Architect to support CIQ’s go-to-market efforts in Japan. As the technical counterpart to the Sr, Account Executive, you will play a critical role in engaging prospects, enabling partners, and ensuring technical success across pre-sales and post-sales engagements. You will be responsible for designing solutions using CIQ’s product portfolio - including RLC, Fuzzball, Warewulf, and Apptainer - and guiding customers through their evaluation, adoption, and scaling journeys.\nKey Responsibilities\nCollaborate with the Senior Account Executive to understand customer needs, design appropriate solutions, and support sales opportunities.\nDeliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and hands-on workshops to showcase CIQ solutions.\nLead technical discovery sessions, solution architecture design, and proof-of-concept deployments.\nProvide guidance on infrastructure integration, deployment best practices, and performance tuning.\nSupport partner enablement by delivering technical training and architecture guidance to local system integrators and resellers.\nServe as a bridge between customers and CIQ engineering, advocating for product enhancements and roadmap alignment.\nNEEDED TO SUCCEED\nSuccessful candidates will be: \nA senior-level technical expert with strong customer-facing experience and deep familiarity with Linux-based infrastructure.\nPassionate about open source and confident in supporting performance-intensive environments (HPC, AI/ML, hybrid cloud).\nEqually comfortable at the whiteboard, command line, and customer site (virtually or in person).\nExperienced in collaborating with sales teams to close complex technical deals.\nFluent in Japanese and confident communicating in English (written and verbal).\nA friendly, collaborative, humble, honest, and always striving to be better attitude.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n7+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or systems engineering roles.\nExpert-level knowledge of Linux, containerization, and systems integration.\nHands-on experience with HPC workload orchestration or parallel computing tools preferred.\nFamiliarity with Rocky Linux, Warewulf, Apptainer, or similar open-source infrastructure is a plus.\nProven ability to work independently and support multiple customer projects in a remote-first team.\nBENEFITS\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance.\n\nFlexible paid time off.\n\nEmployee stock options.\n\nRemote work;
