Learn more at www.circana.com.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Prompt Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize prompts for Generative AI solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI GPT, Azure AI, and other AI platforms. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and AI capabilities by crafting effective prompts, evaluating AI outputs, and improving model performance to deliver accurate, reliable, and scalable AI-driven solutions.\nJob Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and optimize prompts for generative AI applications.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and data scientists to understand use cases and translate requirements into AI solutions.\nCreate prompt templates, prompt libraries, and reusable AI interaction patterns.\nEvaluate AI-generated responses and continuously improve accuracy, relevance, and consistency.\nPerform prompt testing, tuning, and A/B experimentation.\nDevelop guardrails, governance frameworks, and responsible AI practices for prompt engineering.\nMonitor model performance and identify opportunities for optimization.\nDocument prompt designs, testing methodologies, and best practices.\nSupport AI solution deployment within Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT Enterprise, and similar platforms.\nStay current with advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agents, and prompt engineering techniques.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Linguistics, or related field.\n2+ years of experience working with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-powered applications.\nStrong understanding of prompt engineering principles and LLM behavior.\nExperience with OpenAI GPT models, Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or similar AI platforms.\nFamiliarity with Python, REST APIs, and AI integration frameworks.\nKnowledge of AI evaluation metrics and testing methodologies.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with RAG architecture and vector databases.\nExperience building AI agents and conversational AI solutions.\nKnowledge of Responsible AI, AI governance, and security practices.\nExperience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft AI Foundry, or equivalent frameworks.\nRelevant certifications in Azure AI, Generative AI, or Machine Learning.\nTechnical Skills\nPrompt Engineering\nLarge Language Models (LLMs)\nGenerative AI\nAzure OpenAI Service\nMicrosoft Copilot Studio\nChatGPT / GPT Models\nPython\nREST APIs\nRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)\nVector Databases\nAI Evaluation and Testing\nResponsible AI Practices\nSoft Skills\nCritical Thinking\nProblem Solving\nCommunication and Documentation\nCollaboration and Stakeholder Management\nContinuous Learning\nCreativity and Innovation\nCircana Behaviors\nBeyond technical skills, experience, and role-specific attributes, these shared behaviors are fundamental to our culture and success.
