What will you be doing?

You will be the dedicated analyst on a two-consultant team embedded with a leading consumer health client in Summit, New Jersey. Circana has been selected as this client's analytics partner for price and promotion and assortment, and you will be the person closest to the model output: running the scenarios, finding what matters in the results, building the deliverables, and making sure every number that reaches the client is right.

This is one of the best development seats in Circana Analytics for the right person. You will get hands-on exposure to price elasticity, promotional effectiveness, demand transferability and assortment optimization models in a live commercial environment, working directly with the consultants, Circana's modeling team and the client's analytics group. Analysts who do this well are on a direct path to a consultant role. The role sits in Circana's Analytics organization, with day-to-day account accountability to the Client Insights team that leads the relationship.

Job Responsibilities

• Run the platforms: Become the expert user of Circana's price and promotion and assortment platforms for the client. Execute scenarios and simulations requested by the consultants and client users, QC the results, and turn them around quickly.
• Find the findings: Go beyond running the scenario. Identify the notable results, the anomalies that need a second look, and the business implications in the model output, and bring them to the consultants with a first take on what they mean for the client. You are the first line of interpretation on the team.
• Build the deliverables: Translate model output into clear, accurate slides and summaries for line reviews, pricing reviews and category readouts. Maintain a consistent standard across all client-facing materials.
• Keep the program on schedule: Track quarterly coefficient refreshes, assortment remodels, monthly new item updates and category review timing. Flag risks early and keep the team's internal timeline and open items list current.
• Manage the data inputs: Maintain the product groupings, attribute files and geography lists the models depend on. Coordinate with Circana's delivery and modeling teams to resolve data questions and confirm what has been built matches the spec.
• Support client users: Handle routine client questions, support training sessions and office hours, and escalate anything that needs a consultant's judgment.
• Build the craft: Develop real working knowledge of elasticity modeling, promotional effectiveness measurement, demand transferability and optimization. Learn how the models are built, what drives the results, and where they break, so you can explain outputs to a client, catch errors before they ship, and grow into a consultant role.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in CPG analytics, category management, revenue growth management support, or a related analytical role
• Hands-on experience with Point of Sale, syndicated or panel data; Circana data experience preferred
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Python, R or SQL preferred
• Analytical curiosity: the instinct to ask why a number looks the way it does and the discipline to check before passing it on
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines at once
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable working directly with client users
• Familiarity with consumer health, OTC, beauty or personal care categories preferred
• Bachelor's degree required in business, economics, marketing, statistics or a related field

Location

This position can be located in the following area(s): Northern New Jersey or remote within the continental US, working East Coast hours, with the ability to be onsite in Summit, NJ as needed (~5%).

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $88000 to $105000.

This job is also eligible for incentive pay.
