This role combines strategic leadership, technical depth, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on cloud-native development, analytics enablement, and in-house tool adoption.\nJob Responsibilities\nLead and manage a high-performing team of data engineers across multiple projects and geographies.\nDefine and drive the architecture of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based data warehouse solutions.\nOversee the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Python, and SQL.\nChampion the adoption, integration, and enhancement of in-house data tools, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.\nCollaborate with business, analytics, and product teams to translate data requirements into actionable solutions.\nWrite efficient, reusable and well documented code\nMaintain and tune existing Spark applications to the fullest.\nFind opportunities for optimizing existing spark applications.\nWork closely with QA, Operations and various teams to deliver error free software on time.\nActively lead / participate daily agile / scrum meetings.\nEstablish and enforce engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.\nDrive data governance, quality, lineage, and compliance across platforms.\nManage vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships related to data infrastructure.\nMentor senior engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n10-16 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native data solutions.\nDeep expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing and analytics.\nProven experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services.\nStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and distributed systems.\nExperience working with and enhancing internal/in-house tools for data processing and analytics.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow\nKnowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization best practices.\nExperience in Agile environments and DevOps practices.\nCircana Behaviors\nAs well as the technical skills, experience and attributes that are required for the role, our shared behaviors sit at the core of our organization.
