As a Senior Data Analyst working on financial reporting at Circle, you’ll work closely with our product, treasury, finance, and accounting teams to ensure that we meet our reporting and regulatory requirements and continue to be a trusted, compliant actor in the crypto ecosystem. You will also work to make sure that the most important financial information we track is well organized and understandable. You’ll also have the opportunity to draw insights from our rich data and help make sure that our teams are looking at these important problems in the right ways. If you have a lot of attention to detail, get bothered when the numbers don’t tie together, are excited to learn from our expert accounting and treasury teams, and want to help people better understand how our financial systems are working, we would love to talk to you.\nWhat you'll work on:\nPartner with teams across the company to understand how their products will affect our reporting duties and partner with these teams, accounting, treasury, finance, and data engineering to design data requirements, data models, business logic, and a reporting layer that helps us track and verify that we are meeting our regulatory requirements.\nDevelop a strong understanding of how we think about our finances and accounting and partner with teams to make the inner workings transparent.\nBuild the frameworks and systems that help us see when something might be going wrong and help lead the charge to fix these immediate problems and design solutions that keep these problems from happening again.\nBuild scalable automated solutions utilizing SQL, Superset, other reporting tools, scripting languages, and AI.\nOccasionally share your results with larger audiences to educate them on the inner workings of our engineering and financial systems.\nPartner with accounting and treasury to solve important data problems that arise as new opportunities and regulations arise.\nYou will aspire to our four core values:\nMultistakeholder - you have dedication and commitment to our customers, shareholders, employees and families and local communities.\nMindful - you seek to be respectful, an active listener and to pay attention to detail.\nDriven by Excellence - you are driven by our mission and our passion for customer success which means you relentlessly pursue excellence, that you do not tolerate mediocrity and you work intensely to achieve your goals.\nHigh Integrity - you seek open and honest communication, and you hold yourself to very high moral and ethical standards. You reject manipulation, dishonesty and intolerance.\nWhat you’ll bring to Circle:\nBachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)\n5+ years of experience in data analytics.\nProficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, such as R or Python, for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.\nExperience with bank reporting, business banking, financial services, or other similar industries.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain to non-technical audiences and potentially regulators about how the systems you own and design work.\nStrong collaboration skills that allow you to make sure that product, product engineering, data engineering, finance, accounting, and treasury are all on the same page regarding reporting and requirements.\nA strong sense of ownership and accountability: when a number looks wrong or a report breaks, you take the lead in triaging it, investigating the root cause, and driving it to resolution, and you keep cross functional partners informed until it is fixed.\nCircle is on a mission to create an inclusive financial future, with transparency at our core.
