Cisco Systems is an American networking company founded in 1984 by Stanford computer scientists Leonard Bosack and Sandy Lerner, and headquartered in San Jose, California. It is the largest supplier of enterprise networking equipment in the world, building the routers, switches, wireless access points and optical systems that carry traffic across corporate networks, service providers and data centres, together with the software and silicon that run them. The company has diversified heavily into security, observability through Splunk, collaboration with Webex, and AI infrastructure networking, and now earns a growing share of revenue from software subscriptions rather than hardware sales.

Meet the Team

Join Cisco’s Analyst Relations team as a key member of the Security Analyst Relations program. If you thrive on challenges and want to work with extraordinary people in a fast-paced technology sector, this is your opportunity to take Cisco’s security analyst program to the next level.

Your Impact

You will shape industry perception and strategic positioning for Cisco Security (Identity and Access Management), translating analyst insights into strategies that accelerate business growth and market influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of a 12-month analyst relations program for Cisco’s Identity and Access Management portfolio (Duo IAM), aligning the program to business objectives and measurable KPIs.
  • Manage the full RFI process for at least one analyst evaluation each year, driving the cross-functional collaboration needed to secure Cisco’s inclusion and improve analysts’ likelihood to recommend Cisco Identity Security.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with core analysts through one-on-one engagements, inquiries, briefings, and events, building positive perception and recommendations that support product launches and go-to-market moments.
  • Develop deep domain expertise in the Identity and Access Management market, including the impact of agentic adoption on security organizations, and serve as a strategic advisor to product, marketing, and business-unit stakeholders, delivering SWOT analyses and tailored insights that shape Cisco’s positioning and messaging.
  • Own and manage the Security AR team’s key operations, including but not limited to analyst programs at events, the monthly executive briefing, ongoing communication with analysts, and regular internal updates on the security team’s AR program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the B2B enterprise technology industry, including direct Analyst Relations experience or closely related experience (e.g., product marketing, market intelligence, or corporate communications).
  • Detail-oriented, with proven experience managing programs end to end.
  • A clear, concise communicator in both writing and live discussion.
  • A strategic thinker with a high bar for execution, able to connect day-to-day tasks to broader goals and strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiar with and comfortable adopting AI tools in existing workflows to build expertise, streamline work, and collaborate more effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with industry analysts and with cross-functional stakeholders across product, marketing, and sales.
  • Demonstrated experience owning the end-to-end RFI or submission process for at least one Tier 1 analyst evaluation (e.g., Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, or IDC MarketScape).
  • Excellent writing, messaging and positioning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • A growth mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous, complex, and rapidly changing situations, paired with strong interpersonal and big-picture thinking skills.
