Drives the roll-out of public and private cloud management platforms, evaluates their performance, and implements enhancements.\nWhat You'll Do\nCollaborate with the team on design, development, and maintenance of projects of small to medium complexity \nWrite and deliver cloud infrastructure and source code for server-side features \nAssess technology in use and contribute to development plans for design and improvement \nDevelop understanding and experience of public cloud providers \nBuild and maintain application infrastructure on assigned servers \nMigrate existing services from current servers to cloud as appropriate \nWrite scripts to automate operations and server management \nMaintain QA and production environments using automation tools \nBuild and maintain tools for monitoring and analyzing trends \nIdentify paths to eliminate blockers and meet deadlines when needed \nCollaborate with team members to share learnings and assist in problem solving and resolution \nDevelop awareness of agile methodology, timelines, and deliverables \nApply security standards, policies, and change management processes when deploying code into live environments \nBuild solutions that increase availability, performance, and stability in systems, services, and products at scale \nPerform a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in overall systems design, development, and delivery \nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience, or Master's degree plus 0 years of related experience. \nKnowledge and hands-on experience with Java 8+ or python or any widely used language. \nKnowledge of the Java Spring ecosystem; multi-threaded and async programming, and profiling, desirable. \nExperience in Kubernetes and the container ecosystem \nKnowledge of building real-time systems. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPreferred Qualifications are desired education, experience, and skills in addition to the Minimum Qualifications, and vary based on team and business needs.\nExperience with VoIP and call control processing \nExperience with observability tools such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana \nEnd-to-end / full-stack application development ability, taking a product from backend services through UI to a usable tool. \nOwnership-driven mindset, taking end-to-end responsibility for features and services from design through production operation, and following through on issues without needing to be prompted \nProven track record of delivering complex projects, including work that spans multiple teams or systems and carries ambiguity in requirements \nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining quality and delivery commitments. \nDemonstrated AI engineering depth beyond AI-assisted coding, including: \nDesigning and building AI agents that automate engineering or business workflows. \nDelivering end-to-end tools, including the user interface, built with AI. \nOn-the-job or self-directed AI initiatives that shipped and were adopted by others. \nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
