As a Consulting Engineer, you will build strong trust-based customer relationships, applying technical expertise to design, and implementation of sophisticated networking solutions that directly accelerate business outcomes. You will:\nContribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge Cisco technologies for large and complex customer network environments.\nLeverage innovative technology to solve real-world business problems and deliver scalable, robust services.\nIntegrate emerging AI and automation methods into delivery practices to automate manual deployment processes, and support infrastructure-as-code platforms\nAnalyze and monitor network performance providing impactful options for optimization, efficiency and capability improvements.\nSupport the team for complex problem resolution, demonstrating deep technical expertise to resolve sophisticated issues across a broad range of technologies.\nDevelop and contribute digital intellectual capital, repeatable delivery frameworks, and knowledge-sharing practices..\nProvide critical feedback to Engineering and Product organizations to influence future product roadmaps.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, with 5+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing technical consulting, pre-sales, and/or service delivery roles.\nDeep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, with strong hands-on Catalyst router and switch platform experience.\nProven experience in design and deployment of networking solutions including SDA and SD-WAN.\nExperience integrating network services appliances (such as firewalls, IPS, load balancers, WAN optimizers)\nProfessional level (e.g. CCNP, Cisco DevNet) or equivalent vendor certification expected.\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong communication and planning skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution.\nKnowledge of software programmability, automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform and so on), orchestration, and/or virtualization technologies.\nExperience of working in the Public Sector - Armed Forces veterans are welcome!\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
