By streamlining and optimizing the design process, we enable our customers to focus on innovation and product excellence.\nYour Impact\nInstall, configure, and maintain EDA tool suites from major vendors (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor/Siemens, Ansys).\nAdminister license servers (FlexLM/FlexNet) and monitor usage to ensure compliance and optimize license availability for global teams.\nProvide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware engineers, resolving issues related to tool crashes, tool installation issues, and environment configurations.\nDevelop and maintain scripts (Python, Tcl, Perl, or Bash) to automate repetitive tasks, integrate different tools into a unified design flow, and improve productivity.\nWork closely with IT and CAD teams to optimize tool performance on Linux-based compute clusters and manage large-scale data storage requirements.\nOpen and track technical support cases with EDA vendors, advocating for bug fixes and feature enhancements required by our design teams.\nCreate and maintain \"How-To\" guides, environment setup procedures, and best practice documentation for the engineering community.\nMinimum Qualifications\n3-6 years of experience in EDA tool support or a CAD/CAE engineering environment.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\nStrong proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.\nExperience managing FlexLM or similar license management software.\nProficiency in using AI tools in day-to-day work, including scripting, communicatrion, and debugging.\nSolid understanding of one or more scripting languages - Perl, Python, TCL, bash, etc.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with high-performance computing (HPC) workload managers like LSF (Load Sharing Facility), Slurm or Grid Engine.\nFamiliarity with revision control systems such as Git, Perforce, or CVS.\nWindows experience: Some Microsoft Windows administration experience would be a plus.\nSoft Skills\nAnalytical Thinking: Strong diagnostic skills to identify root causes in complex software environments.\nCustomer Focus: A service-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-IT staff.\nAdaptability: Ability to stay current with rapidly evolving EDA technologies and methodologies.\nDetail Oriented: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and speed.\nExcellent English written and verbal communication skills.\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
