Our mission is to anticipate and develop technology innovations that deliver quality customer experiences.\nYour Impact:\nIn this role, you will build a strong understanding of the tools, processes, and techniques used to design, manufacture, and qualify interconnect and connector components for Cisco products. You will collaborate with our interconnect and connector suppliers and partner with Global Supply Management, Manufacturing Operations, Product Operations, and Supply Operations - applying your growing technical expertise to qualify and develop component supplier capability and drive excellent quality across the region.\nResponsibilities and Tasks\nSupport qualification of connector and interconnect component site capabilities and product readiness.\n\nServe as a technical contributor in commodity teams; evaluate quality and reliability performance data and provide inputs for sourcing strategy.\n\nContribute to defect reduction and process re-engineering efforts related to interconnect components.\n\nIdentify, initiate, and help drive process improvements that reduce cycle time and cost while maintaining exceptional quality.\n\nSupport product transfer and change programs to sustain affected products and supplier sites.\n\nEngage early in NPI and provide inputs for concurrent engineering efforts (DFM, FMEA, tooling design, plating, validation testing, etc.).\n\nProvide technical support to the supply chain and engineering community, building toward subject-matter expertise in interconnect technologies.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field, with 5-7+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\nFoundational hands-on exposure to interconnect and connector technologies at the application and component level, including the fundamentals of associated PCB attach technologies.\n\nFamiliarity with mechanical and electrical design principles - tolerance analysis, fabrication methods, materials selection, plating, and validation testing. Awareness of Signal Integrity (SI) fundamentals is a plus.\n\nExperience with problem-solving and process improvement methodologies (8D, Lean Six Sigma) and FMEA facilitation techniques.\n\nExperience managing multiple projects using established project management skills and tools.\n\nDomain exposure to connector or interconnect component manufacturing processes preferred.\n\nRequires on-site support at manufacturing facilities.\n\nStrategically focused, impact-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable.\n\nFluent English and Vietnamese speaking and writing.
