Join us to power the future of the digital world.\nYour Impact\nDesign and model mechanical solutions for Engineering Validation Boards (EVBs), test fixtures, and lab infrastructure.\nPartner with Electrical, PCB Layout, SI/PI, Thermal, and Packaging engineers throughout the product lifecycle.\nApply DFM, DFA, and DFT principles to ensure smooth prototype manufacturing and assembly.\nSupport hands-on board assembly, lab bring-up, and root-cause failure analysis.\nPerform mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis and 3D modeling across concurrent hardware programs.\nCollaborate with external suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve fabrication issues.\nMinimum Qualifications\nB.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.\n6+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience for electronic products in an R&D environment.\nProven experience designing electro-mechanical systems for complex electronic hardware.\nStrong hands-on proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Creo preferred).\nExperience designing sheet metal parts, CNC machined fixtures, and mechanical enclosures.\nSolid understanding of PCB/PCBA mechanical integration and tolerance analysis.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing Engineering Validation Boards (EVBs) or networking/server hardware.\nPractical knowledge of thermal solutions (heat sinks, interface materials) for high-power boards.\nFamiliarity with laboratory test fixtures and hardware validation setups.\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
