The ThousandEyes Recorder is a standalone application that helps customers create these tests locally.\nYour Impact\nAs a software engineer on this team, you will build secure, scalable systems for running synthetic tests across a global fleet of ThousandEyes agents. You will help design and improve the services that schedule and execute customer-authored transaction scripts, as well as the ThousandEyes Recorder application customers use to create tests locally. Your work will help enterprise customers assess the performance and reliability of their digital experiences.\nMinimum Qualifications\nProfessional software development experience using Java or Go.\nExperience designing and implementing APIs in distributed software architectures.\nExperience with Git, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery workflows.\n Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nDeep knowledge of Chromium orchestration through the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP).\nFamiliarity with container engines such as runc, crun, or podman, and programmatic management of container lifecycles.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex or Claude.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on a cross-functional team.\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
