We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and build scalable cloud-native applications and services.\nYour Impact\nParticipate in the design, deploy, and maintain OpenStack private cloud solutions for data center infrastructure.\nWrite and maintain Terraform scripts to automate compute, storage, and network resource provisioning.\nDevelop Python scripts to automate cloud operations, workflows, and maintenance tasks.\nMonitor and optimize OpenStack environment performance and reliability.\nTroubleshoot platform issues and drive continuous improvements.\nMinimum Qualifications\n4+ years (BS) or 2+ years (MS) of experience in software development or cloud/platform engineering roles. \nStrong knowledge of OpenStack core components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance).\nProficient in Python scripting for automation and tooling development.\nSolid understanding of Linux and data center networking fundamentals.\nExperience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub CI, or equivalent). \nExperience using AI-assisted tools to improve engineering efficiency and quality.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.\nKnowledge of networking protocols (BGP, VLAN, VXLAN).\nFamiliarity with AWS cloud services and architecture.\nWorking knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.\nCertified OpenStack Administrator (COA), Terraform Associate, AWS Solutions Architect, or CKA certification.\nCollabHiring\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
