You will collaborate with product, backend, DevOps, and QA engineers to architect, design, and build a full-stack application for pipeline orchestration, release control, deployment visibility, audit logging, and enterprise integrations. With quality as a high priority, you will own features end to end, including unit and end-to-end tests, while reviewing and validating all AI-assisted output before shipping.\nWhat you will work on\nUse AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Codex, or equivalent) effectively across the full Agile SDLC-from clarifying requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation.\nBuild a full-stack application for a new CI/CD platform: pipeline state, release workflows, deployment visibility, and operational control surfaces.\nContribute to AI-native platform capabilities, including MCP servers and AI agents that detect deployment failures, recommend or automate rollbacks, and guide operators through troubleshooting.\nSolve complicated architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems.\nDevelop backend services in Java (Spring Boot) and frontend experiences using React, Angular, or Vue.js.\nDesign relational data models and APIs for pipeline state, releases, changes, and audit metadata (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).\nWrite unit tests and end-to-end tests for critical CI/CD flows-from trigger through build, publish, deploy, and verify.\nDeploy and operate platform services in production using CI/CD, GitOps, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.\nOptimize platform performance and reliability-profiling services, tuning databases and APIs, and improving scalability under production load.\nTake complete ownership from conception to production release by influencing, facilitating, and working collaboratively across teams.\nYou are an ideal fit if you\n10+ years of proven experience writing professional production code and deployement for large-scale systems.\n8+ years of experience in full-stack technologies (Java/Spring Boot backend plus React, Angular, or Vue.js).\nUse AI-assisted development tools effectively across the full Agile SDLC-from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation.\nCan implement efficient database design, query performance, and schema migrations in a relational database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).\nHave experience with CI/CD tooling for build, test, artifact publishing, and deployment (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent).\nHave working knowledge of deployment and release tooling such as Argo CD (GitOps), Ansible (VM-based deployment), and Harness (or equivalent platforms).\nHave experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).\nWrite unit tests and end-to-end tests as a standard part of delivery-not an afterthought.\nDemonstrate a sense of ownership throughout the entire development process, from conception to production release, by effectively influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.\nStrategic and product-oriented approach with a desire to understand users and platform consumers.\nOutstanding communication skills.\nBonus points for any of the following\nExperience with AI-native DevOps, MCP servers, or AI agent development.\nExperience building or contributing to CI/CD platforms, release automation, or internal developer platforms.\nExperience with GitHub Actions and Argo CD together in a production GitOps environment.\nExperience with HashiCorp Vault or equivalent secrets management.\nExperience with Helm or Kustomize for Kubernetes deployments.\nExperience with VM-based deployment patterns (e.g., Ansible, SSH-based automation).\nExperience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis).\nExperience integrating with ITSM or change-management systems (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or equivalent).\nExperience in regulated or compliance-sensitive release environments.\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
