Our mission: to enable businesses to thrive in a world of exponentially growing data, AI workloads, and seamless digital experiences.\nYour Impact\nAs a Specialist Systems Engineer within the I&MI team, you will serve as the primary technical authority for Service Provider Routing & Networking & will provide technical expertise and pre-sales support for Cisco's comprehensive portfolio including:\nService Provider Routing: Cisco 8000 Series Routers, Cisco ASR 9000 Series, Cisco NCS (Network Convergence System) Series\nOptical Networking: Cisco NCS series DWDM line systems, Pluggables, Cisco Routed Optical Networking solutions, Acacia optics, 400G/800G optics\nNetwork Automation & Controllers: Crosswork, Cisco NSO and PCA\nAI Networking Solutions: Scalable fabrics for GPU-powered infrastructures\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Pre-Sales:\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Cisco’s I&MI Product Sales Specialists, Services, Engineering, and Account Managers, Account Solutions Engineers, Partner Account Managers and teams to align sales and partner strategies across all I&MI architectures.\nDeliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to customers at all levels, including CXO\nDesign and architect end-to-end solutions for next-generation converged networks spanning Layer 0 to Layer 3\nLead RFP/RFQ responses for optical and routing solutions in SP environments\nCreate and present ROI-based business case modeling to drive value-based selling\nAct as a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts to ensure alignment with customer objectives and industry trends Cisco\nGood understanding of the service providers, web-scale players, Enterprise, Public Sector customers in Taiwan and Asia pacific region.\nMinimum Qualifications\nExperience:\n8+ years of experience in Service Provider Routing, Optical, and Solution sales/engineering\nProven experience as a Systems Engineer or Solutions Architect in the telecommunications/networking industry\nExperience engaging with key customers, understanding their unique needs, and applying industry best practices\nGood understanding of the service providers, web-scale players, Public Sector and Enterprise customers in Taiwan and Asia pacific region\nTechnical Expertise:\nDeep knowledge of Telecom networks, IP Networking, L2/L3 VPNs, SDN, Segment routing/v6, Optical Networking, 4G/5G networks\nUnderstanding of optical networking space with experience in DCI, Metro, Core, and Subsea DWDM solutions\nUnderstanding of Layer 3 technologies and management plane including MPLS, RSVP, SR, SDN, NMS\nHands-on optical design experience for Layer 0 and Layer 1 DWDM networks\nKnowledge of IEEE standards for security and transport\nSkills:\nExcellent communication and presentation skills at CXO level and for large audiences/forums\nAbility to explain complex technology benefits in easy-to-understand business language\nStrong listening skills and ability to extract key customer issues\nAbility to build senior executive relationships and position complex solutions\nDemonstrated awareness of SP market trends and transitions\nProject management and collaboration skills in multi-functional engineering environments\nFluent Chinese and English\nDesired Characteristics\nViewed as the \"go-to\" specialist for account teams on SP Routing and Optical technologies\nSelf-starter with entrepreneurial mindset\nAbility to work in a highly matrixed, global organization\nStrong technical documentation and solution architecture skills\nExperience with customer use cases such as Service Provider routing & transport, Metro and Long-Haul optical networks, 5G transport, AI datacentre interconnect, peering and edge deployments\nPassion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
