In this role,you’llwork closely with government and Public Sector organizations, partners, and cross-functional sales teams to deliver innovative Cisco and Splunk security solutions.You’llserve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers strengthen their security posture while driving adoption and growth across the portfolio.\nYour Impact\nAs a Technical Sales Professional, you will:\nOwn the technical relationship with Public Sector customers and partners, serving as a trusted technical advisor and primary technical sales influencer.\n\nPartner with account and sales teams on strategic account planning,identifyinggrowth opportunities and aligning technical strategies with Public Sector customerobjectives.\n\nEngage with IT and security leaders, technicaldecision-makers, and lines of business to understand customer environments, security challenges, business priorities, and technical requirements.\n\nTranslate customer business and security needs into innovative Cisco andSplunk Securitysolutions and lead strategic solution conversations.\n\nDesign and present cross-architecture security solutions, demonstrations, and technical presentations that address complex Public Sector challenges.\n\nLead technical engagements throughout the sales cycle, helping move opportunities from technical discovery and validation through closure.\n\nLeverage strong knowledge ofSplunk Security technologies, includingSplunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, Risk-Based Alerting (RBA), Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Mission Control, andsecurityanalytics.\n\nApply knowledge of security technologies and architectures includingSOC, incident response, threat hunting, XDR/EDR, network security, cloud security, Zero Trust, and security operationsto develop relevant customer solutions.\n\nLeverage competitive market insights to position and differentiate Cisco and Splunk solutions against competing security platforms.\n\nCoordinate and influence virtual teams of sales resources, security specialists, internal stakeholders, and external partners to drive customer success.\n\nProvide feedback to Business Entities (BEs) and relevant sales teams on strategic Public Sector customer needs, security trends, market opportunities, and competitive tactics.\n\nContribute to demand-generation, technical enablement, and education initiatives that strengthen Cisco and Splunk security capabilities across the Public Sector.\n\nAdapt technical and engagement strategies to evolving Public Sector priorities, cybersecurity threats, technology trends, and market conditions.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, orMaster’sdegree with 4+ years of related experience, or PhD with 1+yearof related experience.\n\n7+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, security consulting, cybersecurity, or a related customer-facing technical role.\n\nExperience engaging withPublic Sector customers, IT/security leaders, technicaldecision-makers, and business stakeholders.\n\nExperience designing, presenting, anddemonstratingsecurity or technology solutions aligned to customer business challenges.\n\nExperience with security technologies such asSIEM, SOAR, security analytics, threat detection, incident response, or security operations.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working withPublic Sector or government customers, particularly within complex or regulated environments.\n\nStrong knowledge ofSplunk Security, including Splunk Enterprise Security, SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, Risk-Based Alerting, Threat Intelligence, and security analytics.\n\nExperience acrossXDR/EDR, Network Security, Cloud Security, Zero Trust, Threat Hunting, SOC, and Incident Response.\n\nExperience driving cross-sell, up-sell, competitive displacement, or market-share growth within strategic accounts.\n\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity trends, customer environments, and competitive security technologies.\n\nExperience influencing technical executives and leading strategic security solution conversations.\n\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
