You will work with wireless specialists within the wireless TME team, setting up equipment to support enablement labs, test environments, and work with our product managers, marketing teams, and our field sales organizations to grow the wireless business, support new applications and customer environments, with opportunities to grow within the wireless team in to specialty areas emerging as the latest in AI-centric features evolve.\nYour Impact\nAs a wireless Technical Marketing Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert in multiple wireless technologies (cloud and on-prem), diving deep into the product and architectural vision. You will work with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to build large-scale architectural solutions and develop strategies to enable Cisco’s field sales and partners.\nPromote product value by crafting compelling technical stories and detailing how things work.\nSetting up lab systems to support enablement, training, and educational activities that will evolve over time\nSupporting large test environments and operations as part of the overall product development with product managers and engineering\nGuide the creation of field and customer-facing technical collateral, including technical white papers, architectural guides, deployment guides, and methodology documents.\nTrain and collaborate with sales teams on technical products, helping them grow accounts and sell access points (APs).\nMinimum Qualifications\nHave 5+ years of experience in Wi-Fi testing or operations within enterprise wireless and networking solutions\nStrong foundation in the fundamentals of computer networking (VLANs, DHCP, TCP, UDP, VoIP)\nStrong foundation of 802.11 wireless standards, channels, and specs on 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz\nGood understanding of customer deployments and applying those learnings to in-house testing and validations, collateral creation, etc\nPractical communication skills and proven track record of collaboration with stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBS/MS in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience\nExperience in product performance testing or QA\nExperience in configuring enterprise wireless access points (HPE, Juniper, Arista, etc)\nExperience with AI-based tools for workflow optimizations\nExperience in working with Jenkins and Jira\nProficiency in writing quality code with one of the programming or scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, etc\nWhy Cisco?\nAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond.
