Cisco Systems is an American networking company founded in 1984 by Stanford computer scientists Leonard Bosack and Sandy Lerner, and headquartered in San Jose, California. It is the largest supplier of enterprise networking equipment in the world, building the routers, switches, wireless access points and optical systems that carry traffic across corporate networks, service providers and data centres, together with the software and silicon that run them. The company has diversified heavily into security, observability through Splunk, collaboration with Webex, and AI infrastructure networking, and now earns a growing share of revenue from software subscriptions rather than hardware sales.

Meet the Team

Splunk Global Security (SGS) is led by Splunk's Chief Information Security Officer and exists to defend Splunk, Cisco, and our customers. The Strategy, Planning, and Operations team helps SGS turn security priorities into executable programs, measurable outcomes, and repeatable operating practices. We work closely with security engineering, security operations, product security, GRC, identity and access management, infrastructure, product management, and customer trust teams across a global organization. This is a practical, high-context team that values technical clarity, calm execution, and strong partnership in work that directly improves customer trust and security resilience.

Your Impact

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead technically complex cybersecurity programs across the CISO organization and with partners across Engineering, Product, IT, Compliance, Customer Trust, Legal, Procurement, and go-to-market teams when needed. You will drive programs spanning security engineering, product and platform security, cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, secure software development, AI-enabled engineering or security workflows, compliance readiness, customer assurance, and security service delivery.

You will develop enough understanding of architectures, data flows, control design, telemetry, and engineering dependencies to identify gaps, unblock decisions, and connect technical work to risk reduction and customer impact. You will use metrics, dashboards, audit evidence, and stakeholder forums to surface material risks early and keep globally distributed teams accountable.

You will help launch security capabilities with the right runbooks, support

handoffs, customer assurance inputs, and awareness or GTM coordination so new capabilities land cleanly and can be operated at scale.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical program management, security program management, security engineering operations, or a related technical delivery role, including 2+ years driving cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, enterprise software, compliance, audit readiness, or risk-reduction programs. • 2+ years working with security domains including secure SDLC, vulnerability management, security operations, identity and access management, cloud security, product or platform security, third-party risk, security controls and frameworks such as NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC 2, or FedRAMP. • 1+ year working with architecture, data flows, control design, cloud or infrastructure dependencies, and solution tradeoffs well enough to identify risks, ask precise technical questions, and communicate clearly with engineering teams. • 2+ years of experience driving cross-functional technical execution across product, engineering, security, compliance, and business stakeholders, including ownership of program metrics, dashboards, executive updates, and decision records. • 1+ years of experience using AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, reporting, or workflow automation, with awareness of risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, third-party tooling, confidentiality, human review, and audibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience using AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, reporting, or workflow automation, with awareness of risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, third-party tooling, confidentiality, human review, and audibility.
  • Experience supporting programs in a CISO organization, security operations center, product security team, GRC function, cloud security team, or enterprise technology organization. • Experience participating in architecture reviews, threat modeling, control implementation, detection engineering, incident readiness, large-scale remediation, or customer assurance efforts.
  • Experience managing security integrations with mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience supporting security review, control implementation, or rollout of AI- enabled products, copilots, agents, AI-assisted engineering workflows, or internal automation. • Familiarity with Splunk products such as Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud Platform, Enterprise Security, SOAR, or Observability Cloud. • Cybersecurity, cloud, or program management certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, AWS, Azure, or GCP certification.
