This is a senior individual contributor role for an engineer who thrives in ambiguity, works independently, and owns systems end-to-end-from architecture through production operations.\nYou will operate as a technical leader within the team, influencing design decisions, setting engineering standards, and delivering high-impact solutions across backend services, data pipelines, and user-facing applications.\nWhat You’ll Do\nArchitect, build, and own full-stack software platforms supporting enterprise infrastructure and operations teams.\nLead the technical design of systems that ingest, process, analyze, and expose infrastructure and operational data at scale.\nDevelop backend services and APIs for data collection, enrichment, and querying.\nBuild and maintain web interfaces with advanced search, filtering, and usability tailored for technical users.\nDesign and implement ETL and data processing pipelines for structured and semi-structured data sources.\nEnsure applications are fully containerized and production-ready using Docker and Kubernetes-based deployment models.\nAct as a technical authority on system design, performance, reliability, and maintainability.\nCollaborate with platform, infrastructure, security, and product stakeholders to shape solutions aligned with long-term platform strategy.\nSet and uphold engineering best practices around testing, code quality, documentation, and operational readiness.\nReview designs and code across the team, providing clear guidance and raising the overall technical bar.\nIdentify systemic issues, reduce technical debt, and proactively improve platform scalability and developer experience.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nExperience as a Staff or Senior Full Stack Software Engineer working on complex, production systems.\nProven ability to operate independently in ambiguous problem spaces and drive solutions to completion.\nStrong backend engineering experience, including API design and data-intensive services.\nExperience building data-driven applications involving ingestion, transformation, and analysis.\nProficiency in one or more backend languages such as C#, Python, Go, or Java.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.\nHands-on experience with Docker and containerized application delivery.\nSolid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and cloud-native application design.\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows.\nExcellent technical judgment, communication skills, and ability to influence without authority.\nPreferred Technical Experience\nExperience designing and operating systems on Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.\nExperience with ETL pipelines, analytics platforms, or operational data tooling.\nExposure to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.\nBackground building internal platforms or tools for infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering teams.\nUnderstanding of observability, cost optimization, reliability engineering, or infrastructure automation.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nTypically 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated ownership of large or critical systems.\nSalary Range for this role - 65,000 - 75,000 Euros Annual Gross (if you are based in Bulgaria) and 24,000,000 - 26,000,000 HUF Annual Gross (if you are based in Hungary) \nCision is the global leader in consumer and media intelligence, engagement, and communication solutions.
