generation, analysis, refactoring, testing, and documentation.\nApply structured AI development approaches, including reverse engineering, Spec-Driven\nDevelopment (SDD), and automated test generation.\nRefactor and modernize existing Java applications, including the removal or replacement of legacy dependencies and outdated components.\nGenerate and improve automated tests to support safe modernization and refactoring.\nCollaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to translate requirements and existing system behavior into maintainable technical solutions.\nHelp establish effective, repeatable AI-assisted development practices that can be shared across engineering teams.\nMaintain high standards for code quality, maintainability, testing, and software engineering best practices.\nRequirements:\nStrong Java development experience, ideally within enterprise environments and complex existing systems.\nStrong hands-on experience with Java application development, maintenance, refactoring, and modernization.\nAt least 3 months of hands-on experience using Copilot as the primary AI code-generation tool within a team project, OR at least 6 months of practical experience with comparable\nAI coding tools, such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, or similar.\nPractical experience with shared, structured AI development workflows, particularly reverse engineering and/or Spec-Driven Development (SDD).\nHands-on experience using AI-assisted workflows for test generation.\nPractical experience refactoring existing Java systems to remove or replace legacy dependencies.\nStrong ability to understand and navigate unfamiliar and complex codebases.\nSolid software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, automated testing, version control, and collaborative development practices.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.\nNice to Have:\nHands-on
